Solar energy expert with 11 years' experience, including as director of R&D at a Spanish solar power company.
He accumulated multiple patents and was directly responsible for the design and development of equipment that has been deployed across more than 2 GW of PV installations globally.
Thomas was also involved in the installation of multiple international utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects, including managing a 6 MW PV installation in Israel.
Thomas holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, a Master’s in Materials and Structures from EPF (French “grande école”) and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Sherbrooke University (Canada). Thomas also enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and playing hockey.
Trevor Bruce, P. Eng.
Geological engineer with experience across the mining, renewable energy, and environment sectors.
He has investigated renewable energy opportunities at large remote mines in Northern Canada and the DR Congo, conducted feasibility studies for over 2,500 MW of run-of-river hydro-power, and led high-profile studies at remote mines in Alaska and northern Canada.
Trevor holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor's of Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia (Canada). He is a former professional athlete on the Canadian Alpine Ski Team.
Economist who has worked across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors in both the developed and developing world.
He began his career as a trader in Citi’s institutional equities business, then moved to the Australian Treasury where he worked on the Federal Budget, and government investment, risk and debt policy during the global financial crisis. More recently, Tom was involved in infrastructure development in Papua New Guinea, where he worked to develop a large power network and various economic development initiatives for remote communities.
Tom holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from the University of Queensland. His interests include cricket, basketball, rugby, and surfing.
Ian Pieters, P. Eng.
Electrical engineer consulting on large-scale electrical projects across Africa including commercial solar PV, mining, oil & gas, energy utility, and transportation clients.
His expertise was developed over 10 year's working in various positions that include design and analysis, project management, utility management, project development, and project finance.
Ian holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, a Master's of Engineering in Project Management and Bachelors' of Electrical and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pretoria (South Africa). He is an avid rugby and cricket player and water skier.
Christopher Daniel Gallaher
Corporate lawyer with 10 years’ experience at Thommessen - Norway’s leading law firm, the global telecom company Telenor and as an independent consultant, in multiple jurisdictions in Europe and Asia.
He has provided legal advice to companies in all stages of the business cycle; early-stage growth, M&A, listing, and restructuring, mainly across the oil & gas and TMT sectors. Daniel’s main areas of expertise are contract negotiations and due diligence review.
Daniel holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, and a Master of Law (Cand.jur.) from the University of Oslo. He is a former member of the Norwegian national golf team and is now an active triathlete.
